Barbara Z. Pecce, a resident artist in Puerto Rico since 1970, paints watercolors in the traditional transparent method. The aura of brilliant light in her paintings is the result of the use of bright tropical colors contrasted by shadows rich in color and reflected light. Besides being a member of the EEAG, she is current president of the Asociación de Acuarelistas de PR. She shares her techniques and knowledge of the medium by offering classes at the Museo de PR. From her home/studio overlooking the palm covered beach of Isla Verde, the artist sells original paintings, signed and numbered limited edition prints and a variety of notecards done from her artwork.
