Road Trip to Ceramics Exhibit

EEAG Field Trip #2  Ceramic Exhibit, Open Art Galleries, Lunch & Museum

July 14, 2023, 8 am - 5 pm

Schedule of Events: (All times are estimated)

8:00 am Meet at the Country Club Parking Lot inside Palmas Del Mar. (The cost of the bus will be divided by the number of people. If there are 6 people or fewer, Alisa will drive and there will be no cost.)

8:15 am Depart Palmas

9:15 am Arrive at the Series of Immersive Exhibitions at the Bayamon Emergente Espacio, Meet and Greet with one of the Ceramic Artists, Blanca Cebollero.

9:30 - 10:30 Tour with Blanca

10:30 - 12:00 pm Walk to the Open Studio Lofts down the street from the Emergente Espacio. There are about 6 artists in the Lofts that have open studios.

12:00 pm Lunch in the Plaza de Mercado at Dona Ana (typical PR Food)

1:30 pm Visit Francisco Oller Art Museum

3:30 pm Leave to return to Palmas

As of the writing of this newsletter, the Oller Museum is closed for the changing of the galleries. Just in case it is not complete, we have a backup!  We will have the bus pick us up at the Mercado and drive us down the street to the Bayamon Art Museum and do a tour there instead and leave for Palmas at the same time.

Recommendations:

Wear comfortable shoes and clothes, we will be walking. The Oller Museum is free, the Bayamon Art Museum suggests a $3.00 donation for entry. Bring water or snacks, you can leave things on the bus. So, if you want to bring a little cooler with cold drinks, you may. It will be sunny, so a hat or sunglasses would be great too since we are walking from the Espacio to the Mercado (only 2 long blocks away).
