Inspired by Hannelore, we are going to create a desert landscape with fabric.
This workshop is for beginners to introduce the tactile process of using fabric as a medium to create art. Techniques include designing a landscape with strips of fabric, raw edge appliqué, fussy cutting and slow stitching. A sample template is provided, which you can closely follow, or make your own design. The finished size is 11” X 14”.
No previous sewing experience is required. All of the basics will be taught. Those who wish can follow up after the workshop by hand sewing or machine sewing. The finished project can be fused onto a canvas tote bag or framed for display.
